No previous football experience, formal diagnosis or particular level of fitness is required. You are welcome to take part at your own pace.
HeadStart runs two friendly, non-competitive sessions each week across Merseyside. You are welcome to attend either session or come along to both.
"When I first took part in a Headstart session I didn’t know what to expect. I’m not the most outgoing person so I was very anxious to go. After I got there I found everyone to be very nice and once we started I noticed how inclusive they were as a collective. They got everyone involved it didn’t matter gender or ability they included everyone and got everyone involved in the session. Overall I’d say HeadStart is very welcoming and very fun to be a part of."

Do I need a mental-health diagnosis to attend?
Headstart is a community wellbeing service, and you do not need a formal diagnosis to get in touch. The team will have a friendly conversation with you before your first session to make sure the sessions are suitable.
